More About Belltown Condos

Belltown Condo Listings

The Belltown neighborhood (which also includes the Denny Triangle, according to city planners) is a wedge-shaped area situated north of Pike’s Place Market and south of the Space Needle.  The neighborhood extends from the Seattle waterfront in the west to Interstate 5 in the east.   However, when you mention Belltown to any local they are likely thinking in terms of the parks and piers along the waterfront and the area up to around 4th Avenue.  The high concentration of condominiums and apartments in this area has transformed Belltown into one of the region’s top choices for dining and entertainment.

One of the main draws of the Belltown neighborhood is the variety of shopping it provides. Belltown includes a good mix of both older establishments and new, trendy stores, all of which attract thousands of shoppers daily. There are also plenty of options for dining and nightlife. Fine dining is one of Belltown’s strong suits. Restaurants such as El Gaucho, Cutter’s Bayhouse and Anthony’s Pier 66 all lay within Belltown. The Flying Fish is a four star dining experience that offers a city ambience with its dim lighting and large bar, attracting both locals and tourists. The Black Bottle is a great place to enjoy a fun and lively happy hour. Cheaper, international cuisine is also not hard to find. The nightlife in Belltown is not easily missed. Music venues, nightclubs and bars ranging from taverns to martini bars are all options in Belltown. Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley is a favorite among Seattleites and was voted one of the city’s best by in 2008. The Seattle Art Museum is also located in Belltown.

Although Belltown is definitely an urban neighborhood, it does contain some green space. Belltown’s switch from industry to community is exemplified through the transformation of a formerly contaminated oil plant to a public park. The   Olympic Sculpture Park is a nine-acre escape, boasting both permanent and visiting pieces year round. The park is a free extension of the Seattle Art Museum, bringing an exhibit of sculptures to be enjoyed by the entire city. The Olympic Sculpture Park is connected in the north to Myrtle Edwards Park, a waterfront trail for biking and walking. Belltown has a fine mix of culture, art and entertainment and nature.
