On Broadway, one can find an assortment of record stores, coffee shops, bookstores, restaurants and bars that have the counterculture atmosphere for which Capitol Hill strives. On any given day, crowds of people can be found seeking the vintage and funky styles that Broadway has to offer. In addition, Capitol Hill has some of Seattle’s most significant theatres. Both the Egyptian Theatre and the Harvard Exit Theatre offer foreign and independent films. The historic Paramount Theatre is a large music venue in Seattle and sits just at the base of Capitol Hill.
